Bekah Wells is a victims' rights attorney. The reason is pretty simple: She's a survivor of abuse herself.
Years before attending law school, she became one of the first women in the United States to file a "revenge porn" lawsuit and publicly speak out against her perpetrator. Due to her experience as a victim, she has been interviewed by various media outlets, including Katie Couric, USA Today, Geraldo, The Economist, and Forbes, among others, and she's written for The New York Times. She's also been a research contributor for the Daily Beast, using the expertise in technology she acquired as a victim of cybercrime.
